He was the stuff erotic dreams are made of

Salon owner Julie Stanford wanted Nathan Tucker ever since she gave him his first massage. Getting paid to feel every inch of his body, stripped, oiled, and spread out in front of her. Stuff dreams are made of. But the sexy guy was oblivious to the signals she was sending; until she finished off his final rub-down with something extra. In fact, the best extra he ever had. Unfortunately, he came around too late. Now Julie's moving on.

She was everything he'd dreamed of

The woman was driving him crazy.  She lit fire to his insides then ran like a scalded cat.  And now she's going to someone else to have all her fantasies fulfilled? Over his dead body. He's more than willing to give her what she wants, and as soon as he pins the little minx down, he'd show her his own brand of sweet seduction.

It's all fun and games until someone falls in love.

Hello all! Merry Christmas! While my kiddo's are playing with their many new toys Santa brought them and my hubby's relaxing watching a movie on the tablet (he's also on call today, for work, booooh!), I thought I would pop on here real quick and do my book review for the above book that I finished at about 11 pm last night! I loaded up the book right after it (book #4) shortly after and started it for a few minutes last night too! I just couldn't get to sleep last night! Guess I was excited about Santa coming! LOL! :P Anyway, I was told by a friend who has read this series that this book was a little more tame compared to some of the others in the series, and although it was definitely more tame, it was still fun and a nice light read for me. (errrr..."listen" I guess you could say!) I'm growing more fond of the narrators voice- Caroline Wintour, so that's a plus! Only took me 3 times of her reading these books to me to grow accustomed to it! LOL! It's truly not so bad anymore, and the way she did the main characters voices- Julie and Nathan, in this book were clever and easy on the ears! :) This was just a fairly simple love story, nothing too over the top like in the other books, a dabbling into 3some's and whatnot and a couple of short mentions of BDSM, but otherwise, it was fairly "vanilla". Hahahah! I think I can say that word, safely, now! It feels like the series has plateaued a little bit, and now with book 4 that I just started, I'm hoping that this book gives me a little more UMPH and more squirm factor, heheh! I did enjoy this book though, and the characters were very likable to be honest. Nathan seems very much so like the "typical male" and Julie's character is that average (for me) strong, confident female. I had mentioned to a friend when talking about this series (she's already read them) that I wasn't too keen on the whole "girl talk", "girls night out" best friend girly chatter in book 2 that I forgot to mention in my review (mainly because it was kinda just added heavily unexpectedly- none of which was every hinted at in book 1 with the main female character Faith- who's got these other 2 best girl friends, who are in books 2 and this one- book 3)... it kinda annoyed me a bit moreso in book 2 than it did in this 3rd book. I know women tend to have these relationships, but I personally don't, so it's foreign and different to me. *shrug* That would be my only real MEH about the 2nd and 3rd book, but otherwise, these books are a decent read, in my opinion! I'm on book 4 now, which is Micah's book and am very much so looking forward to listening to the rest of it! Barely 15 mins in, if that, and I can't wait to find out more about him and his story! :)

This book for me, got this many stars:

The man of her dreams would give the orders. For him, she had two words that satisfied them both..."Take me."

For five years, Serena has run Fantasy Incorporated and has devoted her time to fulfilling her clients' fantasies. Never her own. Until now...

Her most secret desire is to give ownership of her body to a man. Someone who will command her, pleasure her, and have complete authority over her. So she seeks out Damon Roche, owner of an exclusive sex club and a man strong enough to make her do anything he wants. Anything.

Together they'll journey into a world she's only dreamed of. She's given the opportunity to immerse herself in a different life while her normal one waits for her to return whenever she wishes. Damon has no desire to let her go, however. Serena is the woman he's long searched for, and it's up to him to convince her to stay when the game is all over with. He wants their fantasy to become their reality and for Serena to remain his pampered, cherished submissive.

Hi all! It's been a while, seems like forever! Since I last finished a book! Guess with the holiday season right upon me, and a tummy virus run rampant through my house, hitting all household members (including myself), I just hadn't really focused on listening. With that being said, I generally listen while doing chores and any down time, if it's a seriously awesome book, that keeps me going back for more, and with this one I just didn't do that... but that DOES NOT mean I didn't love this book. I completely did! LOL! I loved every single thing about this book! I was just MEH about the first book in this Sweet Series, Sweet Seduction, it was just okay to me. Didn't blow me out of the water, and was pretty forgettable, actually- but this one was great! I just loved the characters, even though the book was still read by Caroline Wintour (as was the first one, who's narrating skills killed me!), I really was able to put that aside this time and get into the plot and characters themselves. They deserved this book- Damon and Serena! I really loved their relationship; how it started, how it grew and how it ended up! I think it's fair to say that I'm now accustomed to Maya Banks writing style so I was really able to dive deep into this book. Like I said earlier, I didn't reach for my mp3 player while doing chores and while I had down time (I haven't had much lately), not because I didn't want to rush through it, because it was THAT good, and not because I completely hated it and groaned and gritted my teeth whenever I would listen; it had kind of turned into that "listen before going to bed", cozy, warm, sweet story that I often looked very forward to listening to after my evening shower, and while snuggling into my comfy bed, right before falling asleep. Granted some nights I would probably stay up too late, but oh well, I'm a grown adult- I can do that! :P I do hope that I get that sweet feeling from her next book (which I've just started while doing dishes today lol!) that I got while listening to this book. It was a great book!

I gave this book this many stars, though it probably could have used about 4.5:

Under Faith Malone's deceptively soft exterior lies a woman who knows exactly what she wants: a strong man who'll take without asking - because she's willing to give him everything...

Dallas cop Gray Montgomery is on a mission: find the guy who killed his partner and bring him to justice. So far, he's found a link between the killer and Faith - and if Gray has to get close to her to catch the killer, so be it.

Faith is sweet and feminine, everything Gray wants and desires in a woman, but he suspects she's playing games. No way would she allow a man to call the shots in their relationship. Or would she?

Faith sees in Gray the strong, dominant man she needs, but he seems determined to keep her at a distance. So she takes matters into her own hands to prove to him it's no game she's playing. She's willing to surrender to the right man. Gray would like to be that man. But catching his partner's killer has to be his first priority - until Faith is threatened and Gray realizes he will do anything to protect her...

Hello again, followers! I'm back with my review of the above book- Sweet Surrender by Maya Banks, narrated by Caroline Wintour. Now... this particular book is one of those books where, if you are an audiobook fanatic like I am, then you'll understand this- but the reader kinda sorta ruined the book for me. There are just those books out there are like this, at least for me. At times I can look past it, and I can get over it but this one was a little harder to do that with. Even up to the very last WORD, it was overly dramatic and left me muttering "cheesy" as I turned off my mp3 player. *sigh* Sad but true! *slow nod* Caroline Wintour made the main character Faith appear kind of brainless and air headed with the way she did her voice, it was very breathy and overly soft and I'm unimpressed to learn that she reads all of the books in the series so far- bleh! I dunno, it's kinda hard to explain unless you actually listen to the book like I did. *shrug* I did enjoy the main male character Gray, and I also enjoyed the other male characters that were introduced along the way- especially Damon! heheh! The plot was vaguely interesting, kept my attention fairly well but boy was it slow starting. The author did the whole "sexual tension" thing a little too long I think. Like Gray tried to stick to his main objective as to why he was inserting himself into Faith's life, and he did pretty well trying to give Faith the impression he wasn't interested, but then it got weird and strange with her interest in "trying to find a dominant male" and she ended up at The House (which Damon owns) and Gray had followed her there... and it was just odd and I was like WTF? How did we get here? I dunno what could have been changed, or written differently- probably nothing, but it was just OK for me. Nothing in it blew me away, the characters didn't stand out in any particular way aside from her fellow co-worker Micah and the owner of The House, Damon. So anyway, aside from it being just OK for me, it had some steamy scenes, once it DID get started! I've listened to more intense scene's in books, and I've listened to much more tame content as well, so this falls somewhere right in the middle for me. And just as quickly as the book heated up and the plot was starting to pick up, the book kinda snowballed quickly towards the end, and it was over! So, IDK, exactly how I feel about this book being all that amazing, it certainly can't compare to some I've listened to in the past, but it held it's own and it tried pretty hard to be awesome. LOL! I'm going to start up book 2 tonight, which I've been told by a very good friend (who suggested the series in the first place) is steamy and oh-so awesome! I can't wait! :)

The prophecies were there but no one listened. Until now. They are the Lords of Deliverance and they have the power to ward off Doomsday . . . or let it ride.

Jillian Cardiff came to this remote mountain town to forget the demon attack that almost killed her. Instead, she rescues - and falls for - a gorgeous stranger who has no memory of anything other than his name. Handsome, charming and protective, Reseph seems like the kind of man that Jillian can trust. But with hints of a troubling history of his own, he's also the kind of man that can be very dangerous . . .

Reseph may not know his background, or why he mysteriously appeared in Jillian's life, but he knows he wants to stay. Yet when Jillian's neighbours are killed and demon hunters arrive on the scene, Reseph fears that he's putting Jillian in danger. And once it's revealed that Reseph is also Pestilence, the Horseman responsible for ravaging the world with death and destruction, he and Jillian must face the greatest challenge of all: can they forget the horrors of a chilling past to save the future they both desire?

Hello visitors! Today I opted for a typed out review, rather than the sometimes vlog review! ;) I have nothing but awesome stuff to say about this book and so I didn't want to completely geek out over it in a vlog review! LOL! :P So, here I am again- Larissa Ione! *sigh* She's definitely on my top 5 list of favorite authors- she seriously is awesome! And Erin Bennett reads this one (as she did the other LoD books- 4 so far) and does a great job! Her familiar voice brought back the other 3 books with a seriousness that felt nostalgic and fantastic! I've read all of Ione's other Lords of Deliverance books as well as all of her Demonica series (which wasn't ever reviewed on this audiobook blog because I had listened to them all before I started this blog *sniffles*); which were outstanding as well! So with this 4th book in the LoD series, we are thrust into Reseph's world, and his mate; Jillian is along for the ride. Jillian is perfectly human but not completely ignorant to "demons". Now, we've been hearing about Reseph since book 1, and by, I think, book 2 we know that his 4 Horseman of the Apocalypse seal has broken (it's got a fancy name, but I don't know how to spell it because I don't read the books, I only listen to them and I don't want to 1) slaughter the spelling or 2) do much investigating at the moment lol) and he's basically "chanelling" Pestilence (which is baaaaad, mkay!). So that wasn't really a spoiler, just so you know! We've known that his seal's been broken through most of the book series and everyone's been pretty much fighting against him. Well in this book, after a series of motions in the very end of the last book, we are shown who Reseph really is. We "get to know" him as Reseph, rather than who we've been shown in the other books- Pestilence. And of course, we are reunited with his brothers and sister as well, the other horsemen and know all about them because all the other books were about their story in regards to finding their mate as well as fighting Pestilence.
I really love how this book started out as well, and love the way that we get to find out and really meet his mate Jillian. She is a fantastic heroine and just an overall great character full of so much hope. A lot of the other books I've read lately are all SEX SEX SEX (little bit of storyline/plot) SEX SEX, and while that is welcomed and fun at times, it's really good to get back to a solid storyline, great plot that is familiar and feels so comfortable and is extremely well thought out and filled with tons and tons of lore that we've learned about over the course of the 4 books (even longer if you've read any of her Demonica series). This series is spectacular and I just absolutely love it. I have not visited Ione's website to read if the series is over (there ARE only 4 Horsemen, so....) or what it's going to do, but I'm completely jonesing for a series, or even just ONE book on Reever and Harvester (two angels/watchers) which I'm assuming will be up in coming since there was a serious cliffhanger at the end of this one! LOL! Anyway... for anyone interested in the paranormal/demon type books with just enough intimacy to keep you sated, please give these books a try! Ione is phenomenal! :)

If I could give it more, I would! A seriously solid:

...and because a good friend recommended this naughty little series, I'm giving the below book a listen right now!
