Beautiful Bastard (Beautiful Bastard #1)

by
An ambitious intern.
A perfectionist executive.
And a whole lot of name calling.

Whip-smart, hardworking, and on her way to an MBA, Chloe Mills has only one problem: her boss, Bennett Ryan. He's exacting, blunt, inconsiderate—and completely irresistible. A Beautiful Bastard.

Bennett has returned to Chicago from France to take a vital role in his family's massive media business. He never expected that the assistant who'd been helping him from abroad was the gorgeous, innocently provocative—completely infuriating—creature he now has to see every day. Despite the rumors, he's never been one for a workplace hookup. But Chloe's so tempting he's willing to bend the rules—or outright smash them—if it means he can have her. All over the office.

As their appetites for one another increase to a breaking point, Bennett and Chloe must decide exactly what they're willing to lose in order to win each other.

Soooo.... I just finished this book a few minutes ago and have been chomping at the bit to get a review of it out of me! LOL! I just copied and pasted the above information from GR and browsed for a short moment, the other reviews posted... and holy smokes, there are people who didn't like this book AT ALL. Fan fiction talk aside, there are people who HATED this book! Well, I am certainly NOT one of those people. I freaking LOVED every second of this book... like seriously! I was laughing, I was gushing (down thar, if you know what I mean *wink nudge*), I was anxious, sad, happy, thrilled... yeah, the whole gambit of emotions! This book seriously made me just HAPPY. I absolutely LOVED the two main characters, and even though I can't relate 100%, I definitely have felt like I've ALMOST felt like Chloe in  the book... ALMOST. I've had that obsessive/possessive feeling before, but alas, the sex was never mind blowing *snort* like it is in this book and it never really lasted all that long either! :P Anywho... I'll just by pass the whole Pro and Con thing with this book because it's ALL "pro" in my opinion. I was so sad it was over, I could literally just listen to this book allllll day and night long! It wasn't really like an "adventure" like a lot of the other books I've been reading lately. It fell along the lines of the whole 50 Shades and Bared To You genre, where it was just sort of like you were reading someone's daily journal or something. I woke up, went to work, fucked my boss, came home, etc. It wasn't as detailed as some of the other AMAZING books I've loved in the past, but I think maybe that is why I liked it so much. There was detail when there needed to be. We didn't need a five page spew about how this particular room looked, but they both walked into it and then the actions and both of them were given plenty of detail that I was kept interested and madly in love with it! :) I honestly, seriously couldn't gush more over this book, it was clever, witty and fun and full of so much attitude! And the narration... ahhh! It was beyond perfection! Grace Grant read the book and she was hilarious and read relatively quickly, so I think that's why it felt like such a short book (not to mention the fact that I had my ear buds in prettttty much 24/7 for this one) but she was amazing! One of the best read books on my list, for sure! Her timing was absolutely perfect, her voice was remotely pleasant, the male voices were spot on, and it was just fantastic! Because, as you know, if you're an audiobook junky like myself, narration can seriously make or break a book! ;) Everything fell into place in this book, it was frustrating, funny, sexier than shit and just plain awesome. Love love love!

If I could, I would give this book a million stars... to be fair though... I gave it:

And, shortly after the above book finished, I started this one:
