The second novel in Frank's series that begins with "Ecstasy." The Shadowdwellers live in a realm of darkness and sensuality, where order is prized and sin must be punished. Yet for Magnus, the head priest of Sanctuary, salvation rests with the one woman who can entice him to break every rule. Original.

Hello again! Back so soon, you ask?! Well yeah! Aside from the fact that I'm trying really hard not to get worked up because my mp3 went completely freaking wonky on this audiobook and the chapters were all out of order and funked up, so I missed damn near the whole middle of the book, but still kinda got the general idea... I'm doin' FINE! LOL! I scrawled down a few phrases for this book and Ms. Frank in general whilst listening... "Vivid Perfection" & "Descriptive Brilliance"! Hehehe! Towards the end of the book, I was just taken hold of and had like a total light bulb moment! Frank is such a fantastic writer to me because she completely brings you along this journey she's concocted from her imagination and doesn't go completely overboard on details. She brings you right to and through all of the bumps in the road along the way and is completely spectacular to me! I just adored this book as much as the first one, even with the chapters snafu! I love love love Magnus and completely loved his female counterpart; Dae! Their world is lush and Frank describes it so wonderfully and I'm extremely fond of the reader; Kirsten Potter as well! There is still a sense of WHO DONE IT, even though a lot was learned through this book, it still is bathed in mystery and wonder, keeping me anxious to start book 3, which I will be doing this evening. The fact that all of Frank's scenes are so perfectly played out and keeps me literally listening to my mp3 player for HOURS is a testament to how much I love her writing style! I can't wait to get into the 3rd book after finding out briefly, whom the book touches on, character wise. So yeah... this was another stellar book by Frank! :) Loved it!

This book undoubtedly gets:

And aching to start:
